Where the waves sing

Eva Ollikainen – conductor, Olli Leppäniemi – clarinet

The Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra (Keski-Pohjanmaan Kamariorkesteri) melts hearts with their captivating, long-awaited guest concert in Tampere! Premieres of Paola Livorsi and Heidi Hassinen’s works will be heard at the spectacular, symphonically constructed concert. Matilda Seppälä’s playful clarinet concerto is contrasted with the forceful music of Jukka Tiensuu, Sebastian Fagerlund and the festival’s guesting composer Mikel Urquiza. The soloist of the evening is Olli Leppäniemi, the first Finnish winner of the Carl Nielsen International Clarinet Competition.
