Pedagogical training day, Letter of Tomorrow (first performance), Eyes on Tomorrow concert

The advance event of Tampere Biennale includes the commencement of the Finnish Music Institute Union (Suomen musiikkioppilaitosten liitto) year of composition, the first performance of a work composed for the Frenckell bell and a concert by the young students of the Pirkanmaa Music Institute.

Mioko Yokoyama’s composition, commissioned by the Tampere Biennale, will be played from the Frenckell Bell Tower at 5:00, 5:15, 5:30, 5:45 and 6:00 pm.

Welcome to the commencement of the Finnish Music Institute Union (Suomen musiikkioppilaitosten liitto) year of composition, and to gain new information and skills on how to incorporate composition into your teaching. The low-threshold training covers all music institute activities from early childhood education to music theory skills, as well as individual and group lessons in composition to instrument lessons.

The participants will also have the opportunity to participate in the open rehearsals for the Äänitarina Tammerkoskella (Audio Story by Tammerkoski) performance from 5 to 6 pm. The last date for signing up for the seminar, workshops and open rehearsals is 13 March, 2024.
