Audio story by Tammerkoski

Vedenhelmi (Water Pearl)

Performers on recording: Seela Sella – narrator, Livia Schweizer – flute
Students of Ballet and Dance Studio Teija Suova, Pop Up Performers

During the multidisciplinary audio walk, one will get to immerse oneself in Salla Simukka’s story Vedenhelmi (Water Pearl) narrated by Seela Sella. The performance, set in the one-of-a-kind national heritage landscape of the Tammerkoski rapids, ignites the imagination by combining the sounds of the cityscape with experimental contemporary music. The sounds and the city layered with stories engage in dialogue; what belongs to the work and what is imagined?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the beginning of the performance. You will need your own mobile device with a network connection and headphones in order to follow the story. There are stairs along the route, so it is not accessible for those with impaired mobility.
